Questions, asked and answered

Which treatment will I be prescribed?

That’s a clinical decision. Your clinician reviews your health information and your baseline blood test, then recommends what’s appropriate for you, if anything is.

What does the monthly price include?

Everything: the treatment, your blood tests (a baseline and a retest every 6 months), clinical reviews, support and delivery.

Can my treatment change over time?

Yes. Your clinician adjusts your dose as you progress, and can reassess your plan if a treatment isn’t right for you.

Do I need a blood test first?

Yes, for a new plan: the baseline blood test comes before any prescribing decision, so your clinician sees what’s going on inside before treatment starts. If you’re switching and have been on treatment within the last 2 months, the baseline test is your choice.

Who is eligible, and who decides?

Always a clinical decision, made after your blood test and health review. Adults with a BMI of 30 or over, or 27 or over alongside a weight-related health condition, may be considered. Treatment is not suitable in pregnancy or when trying to conceive, under 18, or with certain medical histories. The clinician screens for these, and the patient information leaflet carries the full list. If your blood test shows the plan isn’t suitable for you, we explain why and refund your first payment in full. Switching from another UK provider and on treatment within the last 2 months? The baseline blood test is your choice, and you may continue treatment from a BMI of 23, subject to proof of prescription, medical history and clinical review. Our guide to eligibility explains how a clinician decides.
